EXPERIMENTAL — a combination of exotic with other dance styles (contemporary, modern, tribal, hip-hop, salsa, bachata, rock’n’roll, krump, strip, twerk, vogue, and others), unusual movements, and creative choreography. The main focus is on self-expression, creativity, musicality, and a unique presentation of the performance.
Participants with previous performance experience in the ELITE category at SHABASH events may participate in this category without going through the video selection process. To confirm their participation, they must submit the application within the specified deadline and attach a screenshot of this message in the payment confirmation field.
✔ Trick elements in the performance (acrobatics on the pole and floor, handstands, flips, and other strength or balance elements):● optional, from 0% to 40%.
✔ Performance duration:● chosen by the artist, from 2:00 to 4:00 minutes.
✔ Allowed:● use any stage image and props (except complex structures that require special setup), approved by the organizers in advance (the image and props do not affect the judging);● remove parts of clothing during the performance, as long as it does not lead to full nudity or excessive exposure.
✖ Not allowed:● Using assistants in the performance.
Participants in the ELITE category must:☑ be 18 years old or older;☑ have a high level of pole dance skills;and meet at least one of the following criteria:☑ have 5 or more years of total stage experience;☑ be studio owners, event organizers, or have multiple experiences as workshop presenters;☑ have multiple wins or prize places in Professional, Elite or Supreme categories;☑ have experience competing in Elite, Stars or Supreme categories.
❗️ Important:● The organizers do not provide props!● Participants must bring their own props and are responsible for their delivery, storage, and correct setup on the stage.● Setting up and removing props must take no longer than 30 seconds.
ELITE TRICKSAre tricks your strong side? This category is for you.
TRICKS — a category focused on trick elements of exotic pole dance: advanced holds, spins, dynamic combinations and impressive transitions. The evaluation focuses on execution quality, body control, visual impact and the harmonious combination of tricks with music, choreography and the overall image of the performance.
Participants with previous performance experience in the ELITE category at SHABASH events may participate in this category without going through the video selection process.
