Participation Conditions for The Great Initiation of SHABASH

All conditions listed below serve as a public offer effective from 01.01.2026.

  • 1. GENERAL CONDITIONS1.1. A mandatory requirement to perform on stage is passing the Online Initiation stage. At this stage, the artist’s current rank is determined and a professional evaluation is provided, including written feedback and recommendations from the event judges. This is a special initiation stage that allows the participant to feel their strength, see their potential, and step onto the stage confidently, beautifully, and brightly.1.2. Participation in the event is available to dancers who are 18 years old or older on the day of their performance.1.3. To confirm participation, it is necessary to pay the fee on time and provide the organizers with the full set of required information and materials within the specified deadlines by completing the registration form.1.4. By paying the fee, the participant confirms that they have read and agree to all event rules and undertake to follow the established procedures and standards of professional ethics.1.5. By registering for the event, the participant confirms that they have no medical contraindications to physical activity and take full responsibility for their health condition during the performance.1.6. Stage appearances are carried out according to the established schedule. Participants are asked to prepare in advance to maintain the overall timing of the event. Missing a turn or delaying a performance in a way that disrupts the program will be considered a withdrawal from participation.1.7. On the day of the event, the participant and their stage assistants must have original copies of their passport and insurance policy to confirm identity and ensure safety.
    2. CONDUCT AND ETHICS2.1. The event is based on the principles of professional ethics and mutual respect. By registering, participants agree to maintain a friendly atmosphere and treat fellow artists, judges, and the organizing team with respect.2.2 Participation in the event requires adherence to ethical standards throughout all stages of preparation, maintaining full self-control, and observing all safety regulations. We value the professional and supportive atmosphere created jointly by participants and the organizing team.2.3 We care about the safety and emotional comfort of everyone involved. Therefore, any прояви aggression, use of offensive language, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or any actions that may threaten the safety or emotional well-being of others are strictly prohibited within the event premises.2.4. By registering, participants agree and undertake not to disclose non-public details of the preparation process. This includes private correspondence, screenshots of internal chats, technical details of the program, or any other internal information that has not been officially published by the organizers.2.5. Participation conditions require that any questions or disagreements be resolved through direct communication with the organizers. We value constructive resolution of organizational matters and kindly ask participants to address any questions or concerns directly to the organizing team, avoiding public discussions or criticism on social media.2.5.1. By registering, the participant confirms adherence to communication ethics and agrees to refrain from publicly discussing internal decisions made by the organizers. Any situations must be resolved through official communication channels, which is a priority for maintaining professional relationships.2.6. Within the framework of the event format, the decisions of the judges and organizers are final. Participants are kindly asked to treat expert evaluations and organizational decisions with respect.2.7. The performance format does not include direct interaction, communication, or engagement with the audience or judges during the performance on stage.2.8. We care about the reputation of the event and the comfort of our community. In case of violations of ethical standards, displays of disrespect, insults, or dissemination of misleading information about the event in public space, the organizers reserve the right to terminate cooperation with the participant and restrict their participation in future SHABASH projects.2.9.The organizers reserve the right to remove a participant from the performance in case of violations of professional ethical standards or if signs of alcohol or drug intoxication are detected.
    3. GENERAL TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS3.1. The use of moisturizing lotions, creams, or body oils is prohibited 24 hours before the event and on the day of the performance.3.2. The use of grip-enhancing products (such as magnesium/chalk) is allowed, except for wax or resin-based substances.3.3. Stage preparation time (in case of props or decorations) is up to 1 minute.
    Both setup and removal must not exceed 1 minute each.
    3.4. The minimum number of participants required to form a performance block is 7, and the maximum is 25 participants.
    4. FINANCIAL TERMS AND REFUND POLICY4.1.Registration is considered complete only after full payment of the participation fee and submission of payment confirmation (receipt) to the organizers. Reservation of a place without payment is not available.4.2. Participation fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the event is canceled directly by the organizers.4.3. If a participant does not pass the Online Initiation stage (qualification stage), the fee for reviewing the submitted materials is non-refundable.4.4. In the event of a date change due to force majeure, the participation fee will automatically be transferred to the new event date.
    If the participant is unable to attend on the new date, they may transfer their participation right to another person (with the organizers’ approval, no later than one month after the announcement of the new event date) or receive a discount for future SHABASH projects.
    4.5 The organizers are not responsible for participants’ travel, accommodation, meal expenses, or stage preparation costs, even in cases where the event is postponed or canceled due to force majeure circumstances.
    5. RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROPERTY AND PROPS5.1 Each participant is fully responsible for their own props, including their transportation, storage, and installation on stage. Participants are asked to take care of their belongings, as the organizers are not responsible for their safety, damage, or loss during the event.5.2. The use of any materials that may contaminate the stage, require wet cleaning, extensive cleaning, or create safety hazards is strictly prohibited. This includes loose substances (such as sand, flour, confetti), liquids, oils, live animals, and similar materials.5.3 If a performance includes previously approved props, the participant or their stage assistants must fully clear the stage within 1 minute after the performance.5.4. If a performance includes previously approved props, the participant or their stage assistants must fully clear the stage within 1 minute after the performance.5.5. If a performance includes previously approved props, the participant or their stage assistants must fully clear the stage within 1 minute after the performance.5.6.In the event of damage to or loss of any venue property or organizers’ equipment (including screens, truss structures, sound monitors, stage flooring, etc.) caused by the participant or their assistants, the participant agrees to fully compensate the damage according to the assessment of the venue administration or property owners.5.7. Violation of equipment handling rules, careless treatment of property, or ignoring technical restrictions may result in immediate removal from further participation and financial compensation equal to the amount of the damage caused.
    6. MEDIA, COPYRIGHT AND BROADCASTING6.1. Each participant has the opportunity to obtain professional photo and video materials of their performance. This service is provided by the event media team for an additional fee according to the current event pricing.6.2. We support the development of artists, therefore selected photos and videos from performances may be published on the organizers’ social media platforms, including through the Instagram Collab (co-author) feature, providing long-term media support for the artists.6.3. Participants and spectators are welcome to tag the official SHABASH pages or add them as co-authors in their publications.        6.3.1 The organizers may repost the most interesting moments to support the visibility of artists when its technically possible. As Instagram has limits the number of posts per day, reposting every tag cannot be guaranteed, but the organizers aim to support as many participants as possible within the platform’s limits.       6.3.2 Requests for co-authorship (collaboration posts) are reviewed and approved at the organizers’ discretion based on content quality, relevance, and alignment with the project’s visual style.6.4. In order not to disrupt the working process, participants are not allowed to distract technical staff (sound engineers, lighting technicians), photographers, or videographers. For any questions, participants should contact the event coordinators, who will gladly assist with any requests.6.5. By participating in the event, the participant grants full and unconditional consent to the recording, broadcasting, and use of photo and video materials featuring their performance (including editing and montage).
    The organizers reserve the right to use these materials on social media, YouTube, and for promotional or informational purposes.
    6.6. Performances must not contain any direct or indirect advertising (studios, brands, products, etc.).6.7. Video recordings of participants’ performances will be published on the YouTube channel @shabash.events.
    Publishing performances on the project’s YouTube channel allows artists to reach an international audience and receive feedback from the global community.
            6.7.1 Publication of performances on the YouTube channel is permanent, allowing artists to use these links as an official presentation of their professional level.6.8. Professional filming in the venue is allowed only for accredited photographers and videographers.
    Recording short videos on a phone for personal stories is allowed; however, continuous recording of performances on any device is prohibited. This rule helps maintain content exclusivity for each artist. Spectators or participants who violate this regulation may be removed from the venue without ticket refund.
    6.9. Live broadcast materials are the property of the organizers. Screen recording or copying the broadcast is prohibited. Participants or spectators who distribute pirated copies will be denied participation in future SHABASH events.6.10. All content on the SHABASH website and all official resources is protected under the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights.” Any use of this information without permission of the copyright holder entails liability in accordance with applicable law.
    7. MISSION AND AUTHORITY OF THE ORGANIZERS7.1 The Organizers (the entire project team) are committed to building communication with participants based on the principles of mutual respect, professional ethics, and support.
    We sincerely value the trust of every artist and see participants primarily as partners and inspirations for the project. We respect the individuality and creative journey of every performer who steps onto the stage of our event.
    7.2. The Organizers ensure:         7.2.1 Creating comfortable conditions based on mutual respect, where every artist feels supported by the team at all stages of the event.         7.2.2 Creating an inspiring and comfortable environment where each participant can fully reveal their creative potential.         7.2.3 Providing timely information on all matters, support from attentive coordinators, and prompt assistance in resolving any requests on the day of the event.         7.2.4 Preparation of personalized title screens and careful verification of all media materials (music, video), as well as preparation of technical lists for sound and lighting teams to ensure flawless performances.         7.2.5 Professional online broadcasting (live streaming) of the event.         7.2.6 Professional organization of the expert judging panel to ensure objective evaluation and fair assignment of titles based on performance results.          7.2.7 Organizing the process of collecting judges’ scores so that every artist has the opportunity to analyze their performance and receive professional guidance for further development.          7.2.8 Technical preparation of the stage, lighting, and sound to ensure that each performance appears as a cohesive and high-quality show.          7.2.9 Preparation of internal documentation (performance lists, schedules, technical briefs for the team) to ensure the event runs smoothly and allows participants to focus calmly on their performance.          7.2.10 Prompt and composed response to any force majeure circumstances to ensure overall safety and comfort.          7.2.11 Creating opportunities to promote artists through official SHABASH resources, including publication of the best moments and reposting participant activities.         7.2.12 Preparation and cleaning of the stage and poles before each performance to ensure perfect grip and confidence for the performer.         7.2.13 Providing emotional support to artists before they step onto the stage, as the SHABASH team understands the level of excitement and is always ready to encourage participants.         7.2.14 Maintaining an atmosphere of support and mutual assistance in dressing rooms and technical areas, preventing any прояви unhealthy competition or toxic behavior.         7.2.15 Creating a professional archive of the event so that the history of each participant’s performance is preserved in high quality for future generations of SHABASH artists.         7.2.16 Preparation of award materials, including the production of diplomas, trophies, and packaging of gifts from the organizers and event partners, as well as design of the event space (photo zone, decorations, aesthetic elements).         7.2.17 Communication with partners and sponsors, ensuring harmonious integration of brands into the event environment. We ensure that every partner activation aligns with the event’s aesthetic and benefits the participants.         7.2.18 Maintaining contact with participants after the event, assisting with content-related questions, and highlighting the achievements of our artists in future SHABASH projects.          7.2.19 Providing basic first-aid supplies (first aid kit) at the venue for quick response to minor injuries or participants’ needs during the event.7.3 To ensure a high standard of the event and protect the interests of all participants, the Organizers reserve the right to:          7.3.1 Together with the judging panel, make decisions regarding the termination of a participant’s involvement in case of violations of the regulations or ethical standards of the event (see Section 8 for details). This is a necessary measure to maintain order and safety.          7.3.2 Refuse participation at any stage if a participant’s actions contradict ethical standards or the concept of the project (without refund of the participation fee).         7.3.3 Make changes to the Rules or the event schedule if technically necessary or in cases of force majeure, with mandatory notification to participants while striving to minimize any impact on participant comfort.         7.3.4 Make final decisions regarding any disputed issues not explicitly covered by these Regulations, based on the interests of safety and the overall concept of the event.7.4 To ensure transparency and compliance with the regulations, the event includes the role of a Technical Judge, who::        7.4.1 Temporarily replaces a specialized judge during the performance of their students to guarantee impartial evaluation.        7.4.2 Records technical violations (late stage entry, exceeding the performance time limit, violations of music, video, or prop format requirements).        7.4.3 Makes decisions in disputed or exceptional situations not regulated by these Rules.        7.4.4 Approves penalty points according to the event rules in cases of non-compliance with the regulations.        7.4.5 Confirms the correctness of score sheets and final results before titles are assigned.        7.4.6 The final decision remains with the Technical Judge, ensuring a unified approach to judging and compliance with the SHABASH concept.
    8. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL OF PARTICIPATION8.1. In order to maintain an atmosphere of respect and the quality of the event, the Organizers reserve the right to terminate a participant’s involvement in the event or deny stage access at any stage under the following conditions:        8.1.1. Serious violation of the general event rules or stage safety regulations within the venue.        8.1.2. Refusal to comply with the Organizers’ decision to transfer the participant to another category (if the participant’s level clearly does not correspond to the declared category).        8.1.3. Providing false information regarding professional experience or intentionally concealing facts that affect category determination.        8.1.4. Any manifestations of disrespect or aggression toward the Organizers, staff, judges, or other participants (including offensive statements or actions both in person and on social media).       8.1.5. Missing the scheduled stage entry or delays that significantly disrupt the event schedule.       8.1.6. Actions that contradict the spirit and values of the SHABASH festival or interfere with its organization.       8.1.7. Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any signs of intoxication are grounds for immediate refusal of stage access and termination of participation without additional explanation, as this poses a direct threat to the participant’s safety and the safety of the event.       8.1.8.Use during the performance of substances that may damage the stage surface or poles (such as open fire, liquids, oils, confetti, loose materials, or props that may cause damage) without prior approval from the technical team.       8.1.9 Performances containing calls for violence, hostility, political propaganda, or other actions that contradict the legislation of Ukraine and generally accepted moral standards.       8.1.10 Careless handling of venue equipment, poles, or technical equipment, as well as ignoring technical restrictions, is grounds for immediate refusal of further participation. If material damage occurs, the participant must fully compensate for the damage according to the assessment of the technical team or venue owner.8.2. As the Organizers bear full responsibility for the safety and ethical standards of the event, the decision regarding the impossibility of a participant’s further involvement in the project is final and is made in order to protect the interests of the entire project community.

  • Online Initiation — is the first stage of The Great Initiation of SHABASH, designed to allow each artist to receive professional recognition, feedback from the Online Initiation judges, and confirm their level before stepping onto the main stage.Each video performance undergoes a comprehensive evaluation, including scoring for each criterion and personalized written feedback.At this stage, the current level of technical skill, stage presence, and artistic maturity of each dancer is determined.
    Online Initiation Results:● Each artist receives scores and individual feedback from the judges.● Artists with the highest scores receive official rank confirmation and the opportunity to perform on the stage of The Great Initiation of SHABASH, showcasing their creativity, strength, and energy to a live audience.

    What should the video performance be like?The main goal of this stage is to demonstrate the artist’s current level and energy.Any performance recorded in a studio or on stage is acceptable, provided it was filmed no earlier than 3 months prior to registration for beginners and amateurs, and 6 months for professionals.It is not required to submit the same performance that will be presented on stage.● Costume: should reflect the artist’s personal style and visual presentation while allowing judges to clearly see movement, technique, and body lines.● Duration: — Strip, Heels, Twerk: from 1:00 to 1:30 minutes — Pole Exotic, Pole Art: from 1:30 to 2:30 minutes
    Important:: ● Only one performer must be visible in the frame. Videos recorded during group classes or featuring other individuals will not be accepted.● Attach a link to your performance video (Google Drive/iCloud) in high quality (FullHD) in the form. The file name must be: Selection / Shabash 2026 / rank / stage name (or Last Name and First Name). Before submitting the form, make sure the access to the link is open for viewing. обязательно check access using incognito mode or another account.
    Technical Requirements for Video RecordingTo ensure fair evaluation, the judges must be able to clearly see the performance. Please follow these requirements● Clean recording: the video must be continuous, without editing, cuts, filters, or visual effects.● Audio: only the original audio track is allowed (no music overlay).● Camera angle: the performer must be fully visible (full body at all times). The camera must be stable, without sudden movements. The performance should be directed toward the camera, with the performer’s gaze oriented toward it.● Lighting: colored lighting is allowed, provided it does not interfere with evaluating facial expressions, артистизм, and performance quality.
    Judges’ Rights: • To reassign the artist to a different rank if their level does not correspond to the declared category. • To leave the application unevaluated if it does not meet the requirements listed above.
    The evaluation criteria for Online Initiation and the final stage performance are the same; however, the results of each stage are determined separately.This allows artists to identify their strengths and areas for improvement at the initiation stage, receive specific feedback, and enhance their performance before appearing on stage.The final performance is evaluated according to the same principles as the video performance, enabling each artist to objectively track their development from the initial stage to the live stage.

  • Each stage performance within The Great Initiation of SHABASH, regardless of style or rank, is evaluated using a unified scoring system. Each criterion is scored on a 10-point scale (maximum — 50 points per judge).● Technique - 10 (The foundation of your mastery. Judges evaluate cleanliness of execution, level and accuracy of fundamental elements and techniques, body control, coordination, technical training, appropriateness of elements and their alignment with the chosen style, as well as synchronization for the Coven rank.)● Stage Fire - 10 (Charisma and stage presence. Judges evaluate energy, magnetism, confidence, connection with the audience, strength of delivery, facial expression, emotional expression through movement, and the ability to captivate the audience from the first to the last second.)● Show Composition - 10 (The architecture of your performance. Judges evaluate structure and flow of movement, variety of patterns and transitions, creativity, use of stage and space, visual impact, presence of concept or storyline, and overall cohesiveness of the performance.)● Musicality - 10 (Interaction with rhythm. Judges evaluate musicality and rhythm, precision in hitting musical accents, ability to work with tempo and pauses, interpretation of the music, synchronization of movement with the soundtrack, and the ability to express the melody through the body.)● Image & Role - 10 (Visual embodiment of the concept. Judges evaluate the character and its development, consistency and completeness of the image, full alignment of costume, makeup, and hairstyle with the chosen style, as well as visual expressiveness, aesthetics, and stage impact.)The final score reflects the performer’s level of mastery and determines the final title.In addition to scoring, each judge provides a written comment.

    Deductions Affecting the Final Score (applicable to all ranks and styles):● Late submission of music or video materials:
    — up to 5 days late: –10 points
    — more than 5 days late: –10 points + financial penalty
    ● Disrespect toward other participants, guests, judges, or the SHABASH team — –10 points
    ● Careless handling of the stage, equipment, or event venue — –10 points
    ● Points may also be deducted at the discretion of the judges and organizers for non-stage-appropriate appearance — –5 points from the total Image & Role score
    ● Use of prohibited elements (for ranks Neophyte, Adept, Grand Adept Witch of Pole Exotic) — –5 points per violation from the total Technique score

     In addition, the event team provides a full preparation cycle:- Verification of all submitted information- Communication with participants- Preparation of all internal documentation, including performance lists, schedules, and technical briefs for the team, as well as materials for broadcast and visual support (personalized title screens, host script, etc.)- Preparation of gift sets and event space design (including photo zone setup)- Coordination with sponsors and оперативне handling of requests- And many other processes that ensure a high professional level of the event and create an unforgettable experience for all participants❗️The participation fee does not include professional photography or edited performance videos.

    ❗️Payment for participation in the Final Stage must be completed within 7 calendar days after receiving the confirmation email.If payment is not made within the specified timeframe, the artist will be removed from the list of finalists, and their spot will be offered to the next participant based on the ONLINE INITIATION results.

  • 1. The music must correspond to the performance concept and choreography.2. The music track must have a clear and logical beginning and ending.3. The use of Russian-language tracks or tracks by Russian artists is strictly prohibited.[In accordance with the Law of Ukraine No. 7273-d dated June 19, 2022, Russian music is prohibited for use in public spaces.]4. If two or more participants select the same music track, it will be assigned to the participant who submitted their application first.5. A stage screen will be available and may be used as part of the performance.5.1 Use of the screen is optional.5.2 A standard title screen with the participant’s name and category will be automatically added to each video or track.The duration of the title screen is 5 seconds.5.3 If a participant does not submit a custom video, a standard event background screen will be displayed during their performance.5.4 If a participant chooses to use the screen, the audio and video must be combined into a single file and meet the following technical requirements:▪️ Video resolution: 512 (width) × 416 (height) px▪️ Video format: .mov▪️ Codec: QuickTimeThe file must be uploaded to the finalist’s Google Form as a single file no later than June 7, 2026 (inclusive).❗️The organizers and technical team are not responsible for playback quality if the file does not meet the specified requirements.5.5 It is prohibited to include pseudonyms, nicknames, logos, or any text overlays in the video.
    6. Performance duration is set for each rank (see section “Ranks and Titles”).Exceeding the установленого time limit is not allowed. Tracks exceeding the allowed duration will not be accepted.

  • 1. Stage appearance is an integral part of the performance and must align with the style and concept of the routine. All elements — costume, makeup, and hairstyle — should create a cohesive image.2. Makeup must be suitable for stage lighting.3. Manicure and pedicure must be neat and consistent with the overall image.4. The costume must allow freedom of movement and ensure safe execution of elements.5. All costume elements must be securely fastened. Materials and decorations must be safe for the performer, the stage, and the equipment.6. Prohibited items: ● Training knee pads (knee pads made of biflex, neoprene, or similar thick materials with heavy padding, not matching the costume in color or texture, and typically mass-market products. Decorative elements such as rhinestones or glitter do not change their status as training knee pads)Advertising text or commercial branding on the costume ● Training or everyday outfits6. Allowed knee pads:     ● Integrated into the costume or made from the same fabric     ● Low-visibility “slide-type” knee pads with thin or transparent straps around the leg7. Intimate areas must be fully covered and remain covered throughout the entire performance.8. Removal of individual costume elements is allowed, provided that full coverage of intimate areas is maintained.9. Footwear must correspond to the style and be safe for the stage.
